I'll take quality over quantity any day (Its one of the main reasons I like Momoclo over the AKB48 and clones).

Thanks for the Chapter 1 update, I watched again to check, it seems a bit of a stretch to call the performance a failure, she went quiet in some parts but it was good enough.

^ Hmm, I haven't seen the performance myself so I can't judge. The original phrasing used was "utai konasu ga dekinakatta", which literally translates to "unable to sing well". Since the theme of the essay is "failure", I guess I took a bit of liberty with translation of the phrase. (-__-")

Well if she cried backstage afterwards unhappy I suppose she considered it a failure herself.
The girls do hold themselves to very high standards afterwall. just its not something i would have guessed watching the show so it is interesting. The funny thing is if anyone messed up it was Shiori and Kohmi Hirose bursting into hysterics singing together. Also the Odaiba Christmas TV performance is available here.
