So I've been watching some of the older episodes on here (currently on #23), and I am a bit confused regarding the timeline. Like, first you have the really old episodes featuring Akarin, and then they move on to releasing Z Densetsu. Then all of a sudden there was a jump, and they were sitting in Mouretsu outfits, but footage shown was still of them promoting Z Densetsu, and eventually Battle and Romance. So I'm wondering if there was a break in Momoclo-chan, and when it started again they kept showing old footage to "catch up"? I also know that Momoken was aired around this period. Did Momoclo-chan go on a break in favour of Momoken? I would be very grateful for anyone who could clear up the timeline of their shows for me! :)

we could make a mess of something, although closely monitored and compared to the numbering. I can not say anything definit about the early episodes.

Alright, but has Momoclo-chan ever been on a break? Because what seemed a bit strange to me as I was watching these episodes is that they were doing old stuff (like promoting Z Densetsu), and everything else seemed to fit into that era, and then suddenly the intro segments had them promoting Mouretsu and had Shiori with short hair, while the rest of the segments were about really old stuff. It just seemed like a strange jump to me!

That happens a lot. There's nothing wrong with the episode numbering, that's how it aired on TV.

The issue is that they don't shoot the show one episode at a time. Their schedules just wouldn't allow that. Instead, they will shoot a bunch of content whenever they have the time, and air it eventually...often months later. It becomes most obvious when someone cuts their hair, or when it's an outside shoot and they're airing something they shot in warm weather, in the winter (or the other way around).

P.S. if there was a huge gap between the timelines (more than 2-3 months), then most likely you were watching a best of episode (in which their air the best moments of the past year).

It's the TV show that is a mess, not the DVDs. On the DVDs, they actually try to present the content in a way that makes sense. The TV show episodes are all jumbled up, with different segments sometimes being shot months apart (I explained why above). Frankly, the DVDs would be a better viewing experience (if you had the patience to wait, and not watch the individual episodes...I don't).
