After my first listen I'm actually really pleasantly surprised at how great this album is. I was a bit worried that it might be rushed and therefore lower quality but it's landed the same as Anaakii and Kinpachi in that there isn't a song on it that I don't like. I agree with Ebizori that it is a bit more mainstream / anime soundtrack like but I think it's so Ebichuu still. I think they just went a bit more heavily in the direction of more serious, less silly songs. Kinpachi had Tebura de suki, King of gakugeikai theme, Chichinpui, Kaimono shiyou to machida e, which were all super lighthearted. This time I feel like we only get Seifuku "horenso" funk and Forever chubo (which by the way was an amazing way to close out the album after a fairly serious mainly guitar driven tracklist) in that direction. I'll be listening to it all week but I already know all of the songs are going to be on constant playthrough for the next month or two. :))
I love the album, it's got all the Ebichu range and shocks.. I didn't see a big funky opening song, that's one funky mutha! So much variety in the album, could have done with some punky/heavier ones but I'm not disappointed! :D
Just finished the album and I really liked it. It's somewhat different from their previous albums, not that many crazy/punkish songs yet I feel this is exactly the kind of album they had to do in this moment in time.
The solo versions are brilliant, most of them I actually like better than the originals. They are perfect for each of the girls who sings them.
I actually liked the songs with MVs more now that I got to pay attention to the music.
I've missed their voices, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Hinata's singing. I've always loved her but it felt to me like she was singing with even more emotion on her voice.
